Dieses «Ticket To Ride» hat ja schon ein wenig verwirrt. Die TTR heisst neu «World Snowboard Tour», was sich fachfremde Leute in Zukunft (hoffentlich) besser merken können. Die neue Abkürzung wird wohl WST lauten. Neuer Name, neues Gewand, neuer Wind – und neue Website. Auf der ist seit kurzem auch der Contestplan der kommenden Saison veröffentlicht. Die Schweiz ist in diesem nach wie vor gut mit dabei und wir dürfen uns mit der BEO und der O'Neill Evolution auch künftig über zwei 6Stars-Events zu Hause freuen.
Zum Namenswechsel meint Präsident Reto Lamm:
The new name World Snowboard Tour let us send the clear signal that there's only one legitimate Snowboard Tour on the planet. With around 350 events on 5 continents we have earned the right to declare this. We are the home base for legendary contests like Air & Style, Burton Open competitions, Arctic Challenge or O'Neill Evolution. An increasing number of contests around the world want to become part of our tour.
All this is determined on the basic core values of the sport, that still remain the foundation of TTR Pro Snowboarding and its products. Our values creativity, fun, progression, freedom and friendship are the pillars TTR and the World Snowboard Tour have built their acceptance and popularity on.
